What are your Top 10 reasons for losing weight?
1. I never want to diet again. Instead I want to finally reach a healthy weight, where I am fit and trim and sexy. And I want to be able to do it the right way, so that it is maintainable.
2. So I can wear whatever I want. So that shopping for clothes is no longer a depressing activity which I have learned to dread. So that I can see a look in a magazine, or on a mannequin and say "I want to wear that", and be able to.
3. To stop having to hide from cameras and video cameras. There are very few photos of me with my husband, or with my children, as I am so afraid of having "fat photos" lying around.
4. To be healthier. I have a disease called endometriosis (look for other articles on this), which is aggravated by the amount of estrogen in my system, lowering the amount of fat on my body will in turn lower the amount of estrogen circulating in my bloodstream.
5. To stop wearing Plus Sizes. I want to wear "regular clothes" again. I want to be able to buy clothes in the petite section, or in the juniors section, like I used to. I want to wear crop tops and bell bottoms. I want to wear things that cling.
6. To be better able to play with my kids. I am tired of not having the fitness or energy levels to run and chase and carry as much as I’d like. I am tired of well being so easily tired.
7. To get back to my old bra-size. I am tired of wearing
"grandma" bras. I want to wear a front-hook style again. And while I’ll never be small-busted, I’d like to not bump into people and things anymore with my chest.
8. To be able to stop feeling like I’m being judged by the number on the scale. I hate being weighed at the doctor’s office. I hate having to admit to my poundage in any format.
9. To wear a bathing suit without shame. I will sweat on the sidelines rather than be seen in public in a swimsuit.
10. To redice my risks of developing diseases. Right now I am not showing any signs of health problems due to my extra weight. My blood pressure, my sugar levels, are all normal. But being overweight does increase my risks for developing cancer, diabetes, heart trouble. And I have a lot to live for.
To sum it all up. I want to lose weight so that I can be healthy and enjoy my life.
